Students, Faculty, Staff and even a few Administrators around the country protested university tuition hikes across the country yesterday as part of the March 4th Day of Action for Public Education. The protests spread from California to public universities in New York, Wisconsin, Alabama, Michigan, and Massachusetts. In all there were over 100 events in 32 states.

Preferential Treatment and the American Athlete

It is no secret that athletes at all phases of their career are given some form of preferential treatment. Yet if one is to really think about what these athletes do, either on the collegiate or professional level, it quickly becomes apparent why they get preferential treatment- whether they warrant such is to a degree a matter of opinion.
